Ak Party To Talk With Opposition Tomorrow

Acting upon directives of Prime Minister and Chairman of ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party Recep Tayyip Erdogan, AK Party executives will hold meetings on Wednesday with executives of opposition Republican People's Party, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) to solve the headscarf problem.

WE CAN TALK, BUT IT CANNOT BE SOLVED
The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy chairman Hakki Suhah Okay said regarding the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party's demand for a meeting to discuss lifting ban on headscarf that "we can meet, but it does not mean a consensus."

HERE IS FORMULA OF AK PARTY
Interior Minister Besir Atalay, who assessed terrorism issue at the Kizilcahamam camp of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, gave a message that the issue would be solved by means of religion. Atalay said that the number of imam hatip high schools (giving theological education) and Koran courses would be increased in East and Southeast Anatolia regions. AK Party deputies discussed headscarf, foreign policy and economy during the camp, but not problems of Alevi people.

VISA FOR HEADSCARF
The Higher Education Board (YOK) earlier gave visa for students wearing headscarf to attend classes at universities. Now those wearing headscarf will be able to take exams (of Student Selection & Placement Center-OSYM).

ARROGANT MEMBERS OF STATUS QUO
Hasim Kilic, the chairman of the Constitutional Court, said those who were opposing to changes and could not keep up with requirements of the era, could not convince people any more. Speaking in a ceremony in which new members of the court took oath, Kilic said, "a country which has a strong state but the people of which are unhappy about not experiencing their freedoms is meaningless."
