Turkish Architectural Works In Balkans Introduced In A Book

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish architectural works in the Balkans were introduced in a book entitled ''Samples of Turkish Architectural Works in the Balkans'' by Associate Prof. Omer Turan and Associate Prof. Mehmet Z. Ibrahimgil, sources told the A.A on Sunday.
     The book published in coordination with the Turkish Parliamentary Art Committee, gives information about historical heritage of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans between the late 14th century and early 20th century.
     Some of those architectural works were damaged due to bloody uprisings, wars and population movements in the last 200 years of the history of the Balkans while the others have remained untouched.
     A total of 285 Turkish architectural works in Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, Yugoslavia and Greece were introduced in the book.
