Turkey will be without playmaker Arda Turan for Friday night's key UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against Germany.

Turkey coach Guus Hiddink has been dealt a cruel blow on the injury front in the build-up to the highly anticipated Euro 2012 qualifier against Germany in Berlin on Friday.

The experienced gaffer will have to make do without the services of star player after the Galatasary winger star picked up a groin injury in training during Wednesday's regular training session.

It's not yet known exactly how long the 23-year-old will be unavailable due to the groin injury, but reports from Turkey suggest that the highly rated attacker could be sidelined for up to eight weeks due to the knock.

Arda Turan will undergo further examination later on Wednesday to clarify the extent of the injury, but he will certainly miss the match against Germany and the clash with Azerabaijan four days later.

Turkey picked up the full six points from their first two matches of the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign and will be looking to keep up their good form over the next week.
