TEL AVIV (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul left Israel for Jordan on Wednesday to attend the meeting to be held as a part of the regional initiative on Iraq.
Representatives of Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Iran and Iraq as well as Turkey are expected to attend this ninth meeting of Iraq's neighbors.
During his two-day official visit to Israel, Gul met Israeli President Moshe Katsav, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmad Kurey, Foreign Minister Nebil Shaat and many other officials.
