Northern Cyprus P.M. Talat Says Nothing Could Be Found During Today's Excavations For Missing People

LEFKOSA (AA) - Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said on Wednesday about graves of the missing people, ''anything could not be found during today's excavations.''
     Earlier in the day, experts from the Inforce, a Britain-based institution of forensic medicine, started excavations in Domuzcular Cape in Kizilbas region in Lefkosa to find the alleged graves of the missing people.
     Prime Minister Talat responded a question about the excavations, ''anything could not be found during today's excavations. It was just a research. Experts have not reached the point of exhumation yet. They searched the region whether there were any human remains.''
     Meanwhile, Rustem Tatar, the Turkish Cypriot member of the Committee for Missing People, said, ''experts searched the area, one of the three places of graveyard which was pointed out by the Turkish Cypriot side in 1998. The Greek Cypriot side located 22 graveyards on the map. 4 of them allegedly took place in TRNC.''
