RAMALLAH (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul visited on Wednesday the grave of Palestinian leader Yassar Arafat, who died on November 11th, 2004, in Mukata compound in Ramallah.
Gul laid a wreath to Arafat`s grave and signed the special book.
In the special book, Gul wrote, ``you should never doubt that Turkey`s support to the cause of its Palestinian brothers will be stronger than ever. An independent state existing in peace is a target which I am sure the Palestinians will reach.``
Gul later met Ruhi Fatuh, the interim leader of the Palestinian Authority.
FM Gul is also expected to meet Mahmoud Abbas, the leader of Palestine Liberation Organization who is one of the important candidates of the presidential election to be held in Palestine on January 9th.
