BRUSSELS (AA) - Belgian telephone administration ''Belgacom'' is interested in privatization of Turk Telekom, the company said on Wednesday.
Spokesmen of the company said that Belgacom was interested in privatization of Turk Telekom and asked for more information about the sale.
The spokesmen noted that their company planned to make new investments since there was cash surplus, and therefore, was in search of potential markets.
They added that Belgacom would decide whether or not to buy Turk Telekom according to the information sent by this Turkish company.
German ''Deutche Telekom'', Italian ''Telecom Italia'' and Spanish ''Telefonica'' are among other foreign companies which are interested in privatization of Turk Telekom.
