Turkish Red Crescent Calls On People To Give A Helping Hand To Disaster Victims In Southern Asia

AFYON (AA) - Turkish Red Crescent called on everyone in Turkey to give a helping hand to the disaster victims in southern Asia through e-mails, sources told the A.A on Wednesday.
     Under the slogan of ''We were not left alone, and we will not leave them alone'', the Red Crescent sent e-mails to several institutions and organizations saying, ''please, forward this message to all institutions and everyone you know.''
     The e-mails also include numbers of bank accounts opened for victims of the quake and tsunami disaster in southern Asia.
     More than 145,000 people are reported dead around southern Asia, most killed by massive tidal waves that smashed coastlines around the region after a magnitude 9 earthquake in Indonesia on December 26th.
