Turkey Completes Delivery Of Humanitarian Aid To Iraq

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey completed delivery of humanitarian aid worth of 1 million U.S. dollars to Tal Afar city of Iraq.
     Turkish Foreign Ministry stated on Wednesday that the last part of the aid including 1600 packages of food was delivered to officials of Iraqi Red Crescent on January 2nd, 2005.
     ''Thus, delivery of one million U.S. dollars of aid for Tal Afar is completed,'' said the ministry, adding that Turkish government and people will always show the necessary sensitivity to ease the pain of Iraqi people.
     The first part of the aid worth of 590,000 U.S. dollars was sent to Tal Afar on September 18th, 2004 and Turkish Red Crescent distributed the aid.
     The second part of the aid including 5400 food packages was delivered by Turkish Red Crescent to Iraqi Red Crescent in Zakho on December 21st, 2004.
