Turkey, U.S. And Iraq To Hold Meeting On Security In Ankara Next Week

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish, U.S. and Iraqi officials will hold a meeting on security issue in Ankara next week.
     Sources said on Tuesday that the date of the tripartite meeting is not clear, adding that officials will discuss elimination of PKK/Kongra-Gel terrorist organization from the north of Iraq during the meeting. Sources noted that the meeting can be held between January 11th and 14th.
     Turkish delegation will be headed by Turkish representative in Iraq Osman Koruturk, while Iraqi delegation will be chaired by Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister Hamid-al Bayati. The chairman of U.S. delegation is not clear yet.
     U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, who held meetings in Ankara on Monday, said that a tripartite meeting will be held between Turkey, Iraq and the United States on security issue in a short time and added that officials will discuss PKK terrorist organization in this meeting.
