BAGHDAD, Jan 3 (AFP) - A car bomb exploded near the fortified Green Zone in Baghdad on Monday, the US military said, hours after a suicide car bombing nearby killed four and wounded 24.
"A suspected VBIED exploded west of the International Zone, or the Green Zone, 10-15 minutes ago," Captain Mitch Zorn told AFP using the military's term -- vehicle borne improvised explosive device -- for a car bomb.
He said there were no further details on the attack or whether there were casualties.
