ANKARA (AA) - U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage whose mandate will be over soon will meet high-level Turkish officials during his visit to Turkish capital of Ankara in the new year, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan said on Wednesday.
Tan told weekly press briefing that Armitage was scheduled to meet Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc and Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok during his visit to Turkey between January 2nd and 3rd.
Bilateral and regional matters were expected to be discussed during Armitage's meetings with Turkish officials, Tan added.
