ANKARA, Dec 29 (AFP) - The Turkish government said Wednesday it would contribue one million dollars to a worldwide relief campaign for the victims of the tidal wave tragedy in Asia.
Foreign ministry spokesman Namik Tan said the aid would be sent to the region "in the shortest possible time."
The Turkish Red Crescent is also collecting money in a separate fund-raising campaign.
