FRANKFURT, Dec 28 (AFP) - T-Mobile, Germany's leading mobile phone operator and a unit of telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom, believes it will attain the profitability targets it has set itself this year despite a difficult first half, chairman Rene Obermann said on Tuesday.
"I am confident that the positive development seen in the previous (third) quarter will continue and that we will meet our full-year targets," Obermann told the daily Die Welt in a pre-release of an interview to be published on Wednesday.
T-Mobile has set itself a target of a profit margin of 40 percent for the whole year. While the margin tumbled in the first half, it rose to 41 percent in the third quarter.
"The measures we took in the first quarter will continue to have an effect" in the fourth quarter, Obermann said.
