Turkey, Brazil Call For Consultative Meetings At UN Security Council

UNITED NATIONS - Turkey and Brazil have called for a consultative meetings at the UN Security Council ahead of fresh attempts to impose sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program, diplomatic sources said.

Office of the UN Spokesperson said the meetings are set to begin today as sources said efforts to impose sanctions on Iran were expected to speed up.

UN Security Council's rotating president, Mexico, said last week that a resolution might be voted at the Council within ten days.
