Turkish Health Minister Meets His Albanian Counterpart

TIRANA (AA) - Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag met on Wednesday his Albanian counterpart Leonard Solis in Albanian capital of Tirana.
     After their tete-a-tete meeting and meeting between Turkish and Albanian delegations, Akdag told reporters that two countries wanted to further improve their relations and cooperation in health.
     Noting that two dialysis centers were built in Albania with Turkey's assistance, Akdag said that he was accompanied by representatives of Turkish private sector, who wanted to share their experiences with their Albanian colleagues.
     Akdag stated that Turkish Eximbank was ready to extend 20 million U.S. dollars to Albania, and added, ''this loan will be extended in two stages. Also, Turkish businessmen will extend medical assistance worth 10,000 U.S. dollars to two hospitals we will visit today.''
     On the other hand, Albanian Minister of Health Leonard Solis said that they were ready to review the current cooperation agreement between two countries in area of health.
     Akdag is expected to meet Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano in the afternoon.
