ANKARA - Turkish humanitarian aid organization said Monday that they lost contact with ships carrying aid to Gazan people.

Human Rights and Freedoms (IHH) Humanitarian Aid Foundation established a crisis desk after Israeli navy intercepted a convoy of six aid ships.

Resat Baser, an official with the crisis desk, told the A.A that they lost contact with the ships after 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning.

"We received information that the ships were taken to Haifa Port. But we cannot confirm that information," he said.

"We are extremely concerned about safety of those who are on board the ships. Following the attacks, we have also lost access to the web-page of our foundation," he added.
