ANTALYA - A Turkish ship set sail on Friday from a Mediterranean port to join eight other ships that are carrying aid to Gaza.

Turkish ship "Mavi Marmara" left the Port of Antalya and set sail to the Mediterranean Sea to dispatch aid to Gaza.

There are journalists and foreign parliamentarians aboard the ship, which is expected to reach the international waters in the south of Cyprus this afternoon.

The "Mavi Marmara" will set sail towards Gaza after it meets eight other ships carrying humanitarian aid to Palestine.

The ships are expected to reach the port of Gaza on Saturday.
