ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag left for Albania on Tuesday upon official invitation of Albanian Health Minister Leonard Solis.
Holding a news conference at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport prior to his departure, Akdag said that they attributed great importance to development of relations with Albania.
Recalling that Turkey and Albania signed the ''Health Cooperation Agreement'' in 1999, Akdag said that 100 Albanian patients were treated in Turkish hospitals every year.
Akdag added that he was also scheduled to meet Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano during his official visit.
