Islamic Army says it released two French hostages: Al-Jazeera

DUBAI, Dec 21 (AFP) - The Islamic Army in Iraq said it has freed two French journalists taken hostage four months ago, Al-Jazeera television reported on Tuesday.
The Qatar-based station said Christian Chesnot and Georges Malbrunot would be turned over to the French embassy in Baghdad.
No further details were immediately available and the French embassy in the Iraqi capital declined to comment on the report.
Chesnot and Malbrunot were seized on a road south of Baghdad on August 20.
On Monday, Foreign Minister Michel Barnier said he believed the two reporters were still alive and in good health.
