PARIS, Dec 21 (AFP) - Spanish airline Air Europa has signed the first letter of intent to purchase the recently launched Airbus A350 model covering 10 of the long-range mid-size planes, the European aircraft maker said Tuesday in a statement.
Noel Forgeard, Airbus chief executive and co-chief executive designate of parent group European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, said he was "sure (Air Europa's decision)
will be followed soon by more airlines showing their interest in this latest Airbus product."
Airbus is 80-pct owned by EADS and 20 pct by BAE Systems PLC.
