BRUSSELS - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that Turkey's signing the protocol regarding the adaptation of the Ankara Agreement, taking account of the accession of the ten new member states, would not mean a recognition (of Greek Cypriot side by Turkey) in no way.
Holding a news conference in Brussels, Prime Minister Erdogan said that the schedule has now started for start of accession negotiation process with the target of EU full membership.
He added that a second decision would not be required for opening of full membership negotiations between Turkey and the EU, adding that the date of opening of the full membership negotiations was set as October 3rd, 2005.
