ANKARA (AA) - Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal said on Friday that ''negotiations' being open-ended'' with the European Union (EU) could not be accepted.
Describing this expression as ''disappointing'' Baykal said this expression at the same time caused hesitation.
Baykal told a press conference that he saw that political hesitations regarding inclusion of Turkey within the EU as full member could not be overcome.
Baykal said negotiations' being open-ended could not be accepted, stating that Turkey would be accepting a relationship apart from the full membership if it accepted this expression.
''Success of the negotiations does not only depend on Turkey. It also depends on the EU,'' Baykal stressed.
