BRUSSELS/ANKARA (AA) - Negotiations to be opened between Turkey and the European Union (EU) with full membership perspective would not take Turkey to ''privileged partner'' status, The European Policy Center (EPC) said on Friday.
That Britain will hold the EU rotating presidency between July 1st and December 31st of 2005 is considered as an advantage for Turkey, according to assessment of officials of EPC, serving as think-tank of EU.
EPC officials stressed that problems would not occur in negotiations, thanks to Britain's support to Turkey.
