BRUSSELS (AA) - Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, whose country holds the rotating EU presidency, said on Friday that he had not reached an agreement with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan on the terms offered by the EU for starting membership negotiations with Turkey.
Following a two-hours meeting with PM Erdogan, Balkenende told reporters, ''we talked in detail about several aspects, and tomorrow (Friday) we will continue our conversation.''
Prime Minister Erdogan told reporters that he would meet Balkenende again at 07.30 GMT in the morning to continue discussions on EU's offer to start membership talks. Erdogan added that the EU Council would meet at 08.15 GMT, and the result would be clear after that meeting.
