WASHINGTON, Dec 17 (AFP) - President George W. Bush on Friday signed into law the most sweeping overhaul of US intelligence in nearly 60 years, aiming to remedy broad failures that led up to the September 11 terrorist strikes.
"Under this new law, our vast intelligence enterprise will become more unified, coordinated and effective. It will enable us to better do our duty, which is protect the American people," he said during a signing ceremony.
