JERUSALEM, Dec 16 (AFP) - An Israeli military court handed a Palestinian sniper three life sentences Thursday after he was convicted of the murder of a 10-month-old Jewish baby in the West Bank in 2001, military sources said.
Mahmud Amr, a member of the dominant Fatah faction, was found guilty of shooting little Shalhevet Pass in the head in a Jewish enclave in the West Bank town of Hebron in March 2001.
Amr was also found guilty of involvement in an attack in a Jerusalem marketplace in January 2002 which left six people dead, the sources added.
