ANKARA (AA) - Netherlands which holds the rotating EU presidency will send an informatory note to Turkey about the permanent restrictions which EU envisages for Turkey on some areas.
EU presidency sources said on Wednesday that the EU prepared such a note upon criticisms of Turkish officials, including Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, against the efforts of EU to impose some permanent restrictions on Turkey.
Diplomatic sources said that this issue was not understood well in Turkey, claiming that the permanent thing was not restrictions but the right of an EU member country to demand restriction about a certain issue.
Sources stated that the note was not formal and would be conveyed to Erdogan through his advisers before he left for Brussels.
