Turkey confirms death of engineer in Afghanistan

ANKARA, Dec 15 (AFP) - The Turkish ambassador in Afghanistan has confirmed the death of a Turkish engineer kidnapped Tuesday in Afghanistan's eastern Kunar province, the Anatolia news agency reported Wednesday.
The body of the engineer, who was identified as Eyup Orel, has been found, Ambassador Bulent Tulun, contacted from Ankara by telephone, told Anatolia.
The envoy said he expected Afghan President Hamid Karzai to issue a message of condolence later Wednesday.
