MADRID, Dec 15 (AFP) - Spain on Wednesday released a Spanish national suspected of involvement in the Madrid train bombings, judicial sources said.
Ivan Granados, suspected of supplying explosives and collaborating with a terrorist group ahead of the Madrid bombings, which killed 191 people in Spain's worst ever terrorist attack, was arrested on June 9.
The 22-year-old is one of a four Spaniards from the northern region of Asturias held in custody on charges of supplying the explosives used.
A fifth, a 16-year-old youth, was given six years youth custody on November 16 after he pleaded guilty to transporting explosives from the north to Madrid.
A total of 18 people are currently being held on suspicion of involvement in the coordinated bombing of four early-morning commuter trains.
They all faces charges but preventive detention in terrorism cases can last for up to four years.
A 19th suspect is in custody in Morocco, where he is in jail for drugs trafficking.
