WASHINGTON, Dec 9 (AFP) - The White House on Thursday confirmed that US President George W. Bush would visit Brussels February 22 to meet with EU and NATO leaders.
Bush will also make other stops in Europe that will be announced at a later time, according to spokesman Scott McClellan.
"The president will travel to Europe in February 2005 for meetings with European leaders," McClellan said.
"He will begin his consultations in Brussels, Belgium on February 22, meeting with allied heads of state and government and NATO, and the president with also meet with the EU presidency, the European Council and the European Commission president at EU's Brussels office," McClellan added.
Bush will also meet with Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt, the spokesman noted.
