Britain apologized from Livni for the court’s rule

Israeli and British relations were tensed when a British court issued an arrest warrant for Israel's former foreign minister Tzipi Livni for war crimes in Gaza, upon which Livni cancelled her visit to the country.

British Foreign Minister David Miliband and later Prime Minister Gordon Brown phoned to former Israeli minister Tzipi Livni and apologized for the court's rule.

The two British statesmen said Livni that necessary legal modification will be made.

The act drew reactions.

Politicians and representatives of the NGOs claim that their act insulted Britain.

Commentators say that Britain founded Israel, but now Israel tries to convince Britain on its wishes.

Britain earlier made legal regulations for arresting and trying people who had committed war crimes in line with the Geneva Convention. Former Chilean dictator Pinochet was arrested in Britain within the framework of the code.
