KUWAIT - Turkish President Abdullah Gul has arrived in Kuwait on Tuesday on a two day official trip.

Gul was greeted at Kuwait's International Airport by Amir of Kuwait Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah with a formal ceremony.

Following the ceremony, Gul and al-Sabah had a brief meeting at the airport.

Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisarciklioglu, several deputies and businesspeople have also arrived in Kuwait in Gul's jet.

President Gul will hold talks with Kuwaiti financial and business executives on Monday.

Gul will separately receive Deputy Speaker of the Kuwaiti Parliament Abdullah al-Roumi and Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Jabir al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah.

President Gul and Amir al-Sabah will later co-chair respective delegations in a meeting.

Gul will participate in an official dinner to be hosted by Amir al-Sabah.
