Turkish diplomacy grows in line with its multidimensional foreign policy where converging priorities overlap with those of regional states and of international actors.
As a negotiating country striving for finalizing accession talks and becoming an EU member state, Turkey has adopted a series of measures in order to hasten the process in 2010.
Political reforms constitute the first priority of measures which have been taken up under four chapters. Accordingly, Turkey will continue her EU communication strategies, accelerate political reform process, keep running the accession negotiations and extend democratic rights for all in the context of democratic initiative.
The Environment Chapter shall be opened on Monday, December 21, in Turkey's EU accession process as news mechanisms are going to be established in line with the democratic drive for extending basic rights, fight against discrimination, and a control mechanism concerning possible abuse of authority in security forces.
