Banned leader of the Democratic Society Party (DTP) Ahmet Türk said that the 19 deputies, who had been expected to resign in a move against the Constitutional Court verdict on their party closure, have decided to stay in the Parliament.

The closed DTP deputies will set up another political party named "Peace and Democracy Party" (BDP) to replace DTP.

The Constitutional Court found the DTP guilty of having ties and aiding the terrorist organization PKK on the grounds of controversial acts of the political party.
