ISLAMABAD - About a dozen people were wounded in an attack on a bus Wednesday evening in Southwestern Pakistani district, said police.
According to initial reports, some unknown militants on a motorbike hurled a hand-grenade at a small bus, carrying employees of a local factor in Hub district of Baluchistan province.
State-run Pakistan Television (PTV) citing police sources said that the explosion wounded about a dozen employees of the factory.
The identity of the assailants was not immediately known but usually such attacks in the province are blamed on nationalist militants. The nationalist militants in Baluchistan province have been waging low-level insurgency since decades for maximum provincial autonomy and rise in royalties. The incident is first since government has announced a political and social package for the province that beside others includes end to all military operations, increase in provincial autonomy and withdrawal of military checkposts from several areas.
