Kayserispor beat Bursaspor 3-0 in their week 15 Turkcell Super League match at Kayseri Kadir Has Stadium on Sunday. So important was this match between the two best teams in Anatolia that it was dubbed the "battle of Anatolia."

The Kayseri Tigers, backed by their home fans, started offensively and were rewarded after only nine minutes when Omer Hasan Sismanoglu, capitalizing on a long throw-in by Ali Turan, scored to give the host a 1-0 lead.

DR Congo striker Ariza Makukula doubled the score for the Tigers in the 32nd, also from a throw-in by Ali and Kayserispor led 2-0 at halftime. After the interval, Kayserispor upped the tempo and Makukula was again on target in the 56th to make the score 3-0, slotting in a Mehmet Eren pass into the back of the net.
