In the past one month, the number of death cases has increased in Turkey as it happens in the world.
69 of 195 death cases of pandemic H1N1 virus were mostly below 50 years of age, and mostly from Ankara, Istanbul and Konya.
Taking this into consideration, Turkish Health Ministry has extended the age group. People with chronic diseases, health officials and healthy people from 6-months to 50 years of age will be included in the vaccination program as of Wednesday.
Some occupational groups like fire brigades and those working for order and security services, electricity, water and natural gas problems, transport and communication services will be vaccinated regardless of age.
