Cypriot Leaders Meet Under Settlement Talks

LEFKOSA - TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat and Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christophias met once more Friday under the comprehensive Cyprus settlement talks at the buffer zone in Lefkosa.

Special representative of the Secretary-General and head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), Tayé-Brook Zerihoun, made a short statement after the meeting saying the two leaders made a retrospective assessment of the comprehensive talks.

Zerihoun who said that the leaders would get together again next Tuesday to discuss aliens, immigration, asylum and citizenship. He said leaders would continue to discuss these issues on December 1st and 3rd.

Talat's representative Ozdil Nami and Christofias's representative George Iacovou attended the meeting.
