ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish police arrested 12 people, including nine foreigners, on charges of being the members of a fundamental terrorist organization in Istanbul, the Anti-Terror Department said on Sunday.
     The Department stated that weapons and ammunitions, two false identity cards, CDs and videos showing the head of an international terrorist organization and the attacks of the terrorist organizations were seized in the operation.
     The detainees were extending logistic support to the terrorist organization like sending assistance collected in Turkey to foreign countries, and sheltering people coming from foreign countries in Turkey.
     On the other hand, the head of the terrorist organization which was not named in the statement of the Anti-Terror Department was Osama bin Laden, the head of the terrorist al-Qaeda organization, it was learned.
     It was also learned that nine foreigners arrested in the operation were of Chechen origin.
