Erdogan Says Turkey's Problem Is Terrorism

ISTANBUL - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday talked about his government's democratic move and said the move should be considered as efforts to tackle terrorism problem as Turkey's problem was terrorism.

Erdogan told reporters that his government's move was an effort to eradicate terrorism in Turkey.

"At the same time, it is a step to ensure solidarity among all ethnicities in our country," Erdogan said.

Erdogan also lashed out at opposition's claims that government's move was a project of the United States.

"This is the government of the Republic of Turkey, not another country," he said.

Erdogan also said that his government would proceed on its was very carefully.

"We will make public the results of this process as soon as possible. As I said before, our goal is to finish this job before the new year," he said.
