ANKARA - Turkey on Wednesday strongly condemned bomb attacks in Iraqi capital of Baghdad.
Releasing a statement, Turkish Foreign Ministry said terrorist attacks targeted many public buildings in Baghdad including prime ministry, parliament speaker's office, foreign ministry and finance ministry.
The statement said many Iraqi people died and were injured.
Foreign ministry statement said the attack on finance ministry was felt in Turkish Embassy which was 400 km to the finance ministry, adding that there was slight damage in the exterior wall of the embassy.
"It is clear that the terrorist attacks target peace and stability atmosphere restored in Iraq. Turkey strongly condemns this loathsome terrorist attack and offers condolences for those who lost their lives in the attack. We also wish speedy recovery for those who were injured in the attack," it said.
The statement also expressed Turkey's readiness to undertake treatment of those injured and to send medicine and medical equipment if needed.
A series of explosions targeting government and commercial buildings struck Baghdad Wednesday, killing at least 80 people and wounding more than 300.
