ANKARA - Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), who is currently paying a formal visit to Turkey, held talks with Turkish officials in capital Ankara on Friday.
Eroglu met with Turkish State Minister and Deputy Premier Cemil Cicek at the Prime Ministry HQ. The one-hour meeting was closed to press.
Eroglu later held talks with Turkish State Minister and Deputy Premier Bulent Arinc.
Speaking during the gathering, Arinc said that Turkey respected the political choice of Turkish Cypriot citizens, adding that he hoped the new government in TRNC would take steps that would give stable and successful results.
"Turkey has always extended support to TRNC for the solution of the current problems in the country. We will continue to do so," Arinc said.
