Turkish - American Business Council Conference To Take Place In D.C.

ISTANBUL - Turkish-American Business Council/American-Turkish Council/American Friends of Turkey Joint Annual Conference will take place in Washington, D.C. between May 31 and June 3, 2009.
The conference will be held at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Its theme is determined as "US-Turkey: "Overcoming challenges in an era of change".

The conference will focus on economic and political relations as well as cooperation opportunities between the two countries.

Panels and seminars on the EU, banking sector, finance, informatics, energy, security/defense, construction, agriculture and food industry will be organized during the conference.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, State Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz, Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug and other Turkish and U.S. officials will participate in the conference.
