Turkish Military Says Its Warplanes Hit Terrorist Group In Iraq's North

ANKARA - Turkish military said Thursday its fighter jets had attacked a "crowded group of PKK/KONGRA-GEL terrorists" in Iraq's north.
A military spokesman said the warplanes had made "a direct hit" on the group of terrorists in Avasin-Basyan region near the Iraqi border.

Earlier Thursday the military said six Turkish troops had been killed in a mine blast in Turkey's southeast.
