Turks demonstrate against US actions in Iraq

ISTANBUL, Turkey, Nov 27 (AFP) - More than 60 people demonstrated Saturday outside the US embassy in Ankara and the consulate in Istanbul against US military operations in Iraq, Anatolia news agency reported.
They laid wreaths outside both buildings in union-organised protests to mark the deaths of Iraqis at the hands of US forces, notably in the Sunni city of Fallujah during this month's battle against insurgents.
Ahmet Yildiz, head of the union of employees of the religious affairs ministry, led the demonstration in Ankara, which an embassy official said numbered about 60 people.
Members of the Turkish consumers' association also called for a 24-hour boycott of US-made goods.
In Istanbul members of the civil service union Memur-Sen laid a black wreath outside the US consulate, Anatolia said, without specifying the numbers.
