THE HAGUE (AA) - The ministerial-level political dialogue meeting between Turkey and the EU Troika started in The Hague, the Netherlands, on Wednesday.
     Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul is attending the meeting on behalf of Turkey.
     Foreign Minister Bernard Bot of the Netherlands holding the rotating EU presidency, Dutch Secretary of State for EU Affairs Atzo Nikolai, representative of Luxembourg which will take over EU presidency on January 1st, 2005, and representative of the European Commission are also in attendance at the meeting.
     The parties will exchange views over the recent developments prior to a decision to be make by the EU at its summit on December 17th to open entry talks with Turkey.
     Following the meeting, Gul and Bot will come together at a working lunch.
     Later, they will hold a joint news conference.
     Turkey-the EU Troika meeting takes place once in every six months.
