ALEPPO - Turkish President Abdullah Gul, who is currently paying an official visit to Syria, visited several historical and touristic places in Aleppo on Sunday.
Syrian President Bashar al-Asad and his wife Asma Asad accompanied the Gul couple during the tour.
Guls visited the Umayyad Mosque of Aleppo, as well as the historical market place and the city's castle. After the tour, they attended a luncheon hosted by al-Asad.
Upon completing his talks in Syria, President Gul is expected to return to Turkey later in the day.
