ANKARA (AA) - Members of Ankara Branch of the Mazlumder (Organization for Human Rights and Solidarity for Oppressed People) held a demonstration on Tuesday across the U.S. Embassy in Ankara and protested ''occupation of Iraq'' by leaving a doll at the Embassy's gate.
Mazlumder Ankara Branch spokesman Emrullah Beytar stated that every day innocent lives are being lost in Iraq due to the attacks by U.S.-led coalition forces.
''It was the United States that originally brought Saddam Hussein to power. Once Saddam started to act against the U.S. interests, Washington decided to topple Saddam's regime. The United States and its allies should be tried in international courts,'' claimed Beytar.
Beytar also urged the Turkish people to boycott U.S. goods.
