ANKARA - Turkish General Staff said on Saturday that seven terrorists, two of them women, were killed in an operation conducted in Eruh town of southeastern province of Siirt.
General Staff statement said security forces, acting on a tip off that a group of terrorists were planning an activity in Yassidag region in Eruh town, launched an operation in the region on May 14 and 15.
The statement said two terrorists were killed in an ensuing clash. "One village guard died and another one was injured in the operation," the statement added.
"Security forces, backed by two assault helicopters, killed seven terrorists in the operation," the statement said.
